I. The Land
It all begins in Sarrión.
Great gastronomic products always have something in common: a unique place where nature brings together the perfect conditions to create something extraordinary. For black truffle, that place is Sarrión, in the province of Teruel.
A village of 1,300 inhabitants — a place unknown to most of the world and, at the same time, the undisputed world capital of black truffle.
This land combines altitude, climate, limestone soils and a truffle tradition that have made Spain the leading producer of the authentic winter black truffle.
IV. The People
Every season begins long before the harvest.
It begins with care for the land, respect for the rhythms of nature and the knowledge passed down by those who have spent their lives growing this exceptional product.
At Terra de Trufa we work directly with growers in Sarrión who are part of our project and share our exact demands on quality and origin. That closeness lets us know the story of every truffle from the moment it is born until it reaches our clients. And origin always leaves its mark.
